Oracle Payroll is an interesting module on which I am working on at the moment. Within Payroll, accrual accounting integration with GL is a common requirement.
Oracle out of the box has some functionality for this i.e.
- The Partial Period Accrual Calculation process which takes care of salary /payroll expense accrual to end of accounting period
- Leave Liability Process and Leave Liability Report to take care of annual and long service leave accruals.
